Who is your ideal client
One of the keys to building a successful freelancing business is figuring out who your ideal client is. It takes both planning and experience, though I see many freelancers never doing it and accepting any work they can get. Michael Zipursky outlines a way to think about your ideal clients, I especially like his 5% concept.
Podcasting for freelancers
Podcasting can be a great way to reach your ideal clients. You get some of the authority of being "on the radio" which positions you as an authority and you can build a connection with listeners through your show. As Paul Jarvis shows in Podcasting for freelancers, it’s actually much easier than people think. There isn’t a specific format you have to follow in order to create a podcast, you just need topics to talk about.
