Learn How To Run Your Consulting Business Without Worry

When I started consulting in 2007, I didn’t know anyone else doing it.

Sure, I saw a few people online but I didn’t know them well enough to ask them questions.

I made up for that by reading, researching, and…

…making a ton of mistakes.

Oh the mistakes I made

Mistakes like undercharging by 4x or spending 3 hours to close a project that was 5 hours of work.

It makes sense though. I didn’t have someone to tell me those were bad ideas. I had to do it myself and fall on my face.

Building a network of peers

Eventually I make connections with other consultants who I could talk to. We’d talk shop and see common mistakes we were making.

Combined with my hard-won experience (failures), things started to work.

My consulting business wasn’t plagued with daily mistakes.

I was making my clients happy, without being up all night worrying about what I’d do tomorrow.

I attribute most of my success to those early connections and research.

And you?

What about you?

  • Do you struggle with business problems?
  • Are you procrastinating making a decision because you’re not sure if it’s right?
  • Do you wish you understood the business side of consulting better?

What would you do with an adviser who would answer your questions and point you on the right path?

Someone like the consultants I met, who I bounced ideas off of.

Or even better, someone who walked you through the critical areas that every consultant makes mistakes in.

That’s what I’d like to be for you.

Would you like help?

Starting on November 6th, you can join the weekly training course where I’ll go through the common questions and problems that plague consultants in four critical areas.

You’ll get five weeks of these sessions, covering the four most important topics for consultants, one per week:

  1. Finding high-value clients who will pay what you’re worth.
  2. Attracting those clients to you through marketing, so you don’t have to chase them. (double session)
  3. Selling yourself without feeling like you need a shower later.
  4. Setting the rates you want, and planning your finances around them.

And best of all? You’ll get answers to your specific questions about consulting

I’ve been wanting to change my pricing model to weekly for a while but have been struggling to do so. A few chats with Eric and I was able to book in the next client (within days) with my new pricing model easy. Eric gave me solid pricing and positioning advice, which was just what I needed.

When does the course run?

Every Thursday November 6th until December 11th. (With November 27th off for Thanksgiving).

What times are the sessions?

They start at 10:30am and end around 11:30am, US Pacific Time.

Do I need to travel to attend this course?

No, all you need is a phone. No traveling needed.

What if I can’t attend or miss a session?

The sessions will be recorded so you can play them back at a better time.

Do I need to attend in a quiet location?

No. Your line will be muted so all you need to do is listen. You can call from your office, your home, or even a coffee shop. (Or even your bathroom, but please don’t…)

Is this for new consultants?

Yes, you’ll be able to build a strong foundation for your business with the knowledge you’ll gain.

What about experienced consultants?

Yes. If you feel weak or that could use a refresher in one of the four areas, you should attend.

How will my questions be answered?

In order to make each answer as complete as possible and keep your identity anonymous, you’ll be able to ask questions outside the sessions. Relevant questions will then be answered during the next session.

What if I have questions outside of the topics above?

Any question can be asked. If the answer is very personal, I’ll answer it in private.

How many spots are available?

In order to keep the training focused and personal, the attendance is capped at 30 participants. Once those are gone, they’re gone.

This course is not for you if…

As much as I’d love to have you join, there are some circumstances where you shouldn’t join:

  • Buying would put you into financial hardship. Basically, don’t go into debt to join.
  • You have no plans of starting your consulting company in the next 12 months. While this training course will be useful years later, you’d get better results from focusing on it when you’re about to start or already have started.
  • You’re unable to commit to keeping up to the calls. You’ll need an hour each week to join the calls or listen to the recordings.
  • You’re not willing to give feedback and participate.
