Redmine Tip – Copy Projects To Save Time

Do you have routine projects that you do over and over again? You know, the ones where you end up doing the same work 90% of the time with very few changes?

If so you will want to try out the Copy Project feature. It does what you expect; it copies a project and its associated data to a brand new project. I use this to create project templates, saving me hours of repetitive set up.

1. To copy a project, first you need to login as an Administrator. In the Project list you will see a Copy button next to each project.

2. Clicking this button will show you the Copy Project form. Here you will need to enter details about the new project and you can also select which items to copy.
